Yueyang SINOPEC Shell Company coal gasification project use Shell pressurization pulverized coal gasification technology, the service scope is first-phase, engineering design and EPC contracting. The daily capacity is 2000t of coal, 142000Nm³/h of crude syngas and 48000Nm³/h O₂ of ASU, which substitute the current production feedstock-naphtha from the Chemical Fertilizer Plant of SINOPEC Balin Branch. Building the project is beneficial to lowering fertilizer production cost, raising product competition ability and also beneficial to disseminating and applying high efficiency and cleaning energy technology, which has good economic benefit and social benefit, the project was completed and put into operation in December of 2006.
