On July 3, a group ofleaders from Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. (SEG) paid a visit to thecompany, including Lu Dong, the chairman of board and the secretary of theparty committee, Xiao Gang, the member of party committee and deputy generalmanager, and Qi Guosheng, the member of party committee and deputy generalmanager, as well as personnel from relevant departments of SEG such ascomprehensive management department, strategic planning department, enterprisereform management department and party committee work department (corporateculture department), etc. They were accompanied by leaders of the company suchas Xu Yijun, the chairman of board and the secretary of the party committee,Zhou Guo, the general manager and other relevant members of leadership team.

The visiting group listenedto the work report made by leadership representative Xu Yijun of the company inthe morning. The report mainly focused on how the company is carrying out andlearning the Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for anew era and the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress, how it is implementingthe main content of Sinopec’ annual work report meeting and SEG’s annual workreport meeting, how the production and operation indexes are achieved, how the “one-postand two-responsibility system” is implemented, how the key work of the year isbeing conducted, how the internal audit and external review is going on, howthe party building work is done and what’s the key work of the next stage.

Lu Dong highly praised whathave been achieved by Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. since the leadershipteam of the company was renewed. He emphasized that, the new leadership hasdone a good job in implementing the decisions of SEG and the work arrangementsof the party committee of SEG thanks to its strong sense of mission and deep awarenessof responsibility. Led by the leadership team, cadres of all levels have been pushing themselvesto work harder, make further improvement and achieve more. The overallimprovement of leadership has led to increased cohesion and work spirit of employeesand won great supports and high praise from both cadres and employees. Meanwhile, Lu Dong putforward new requirements for the future development of the company. He said,the company should continue carrying out the spirit of 19th CPC NationalCongress under the guidance of Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinesecharacteristics while organizing education themed “remain true to our originalaspiration to serve the people and stay firm in our great mission to strengthenthe country”; the company should keep eyes close on its goals and keep firmconfidence so as to have an effective management and control over its keyoperation objectives and major operation risks; the company should furtherstrengthen anti-corruption education to enhance the leader’s ability ofresisting corruption and degeneration, and; the company should further deepenreform and ensure key work is well implemented.

The inspection group alsoheld a number of meetings during the visit trip, including meeting for exchangeon construction and business development, seminar for equipment manufacturingbusiness and investigation meeting among party branches at grassroots levels.The handover of “water, power, gas, heating and property” was also respectivelydone during the visit. In addition, the group had a safety check at theXiangshan base of Ningbo Tianyi Petrochemical Heavy Equipment ManufacturingCo., Ltd., where it checked how the key safety work of the year has beencompleted, how the “one post and two responsibility system” has beenimplemented and how the “production safety month” activity is going on.
