On Apr. 9th, Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. (SEG)held a Manufacturing Development Project Approval Meeting at the XiangshanFactory of Ningbo Tianyi Machinery Manufacturing Company. The meeting waschaired by Xiao Xuejun, deputy chief engineer of SEG and general manager of thetechnical department. Sun Songquan, Deputy General Manager of PurchasingDepartment of SEG, Kang Wanzhong, Deputy General Manager of SNEC, andparticipants from SNEC, SINOPEC Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering CorporationLtd(LPEC）, Sinopec ShanghaiEngineering Co., Ltd. (SSEC), Sinopec Nanjing Engineering&ConstructionInc.(SNEI), SINOPEC Tenth Construction Company,and SEG Luoyang R&D Center of Technologies attended the meeting, 27 expertsfrom Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Changzhou University attendedthe meeting.

In the morning, the expert group studied and discussedthe six planned development projects earnestly and carefully, including:Development of hardfacing technology for wear resistant layer of high chromiumcast iron, Research and application of key technology for 3D printing of metalequipment or parts, New anticorrosive equipment Surface materials, GB andInternational Codes Application in construction projects in Russia, Design andDevelopment of ASME buried tank, and development of post-welding heat treatmenttechnology for stainless steel clad plate vessel. Finally three projects wereapproved, two projects will be developed in stages, and one project wasdeveloped by SNEC.

In the afternoon, the experts and participants visitedXiangshan Factory and the wharf of Ningbo Tianyi Machinery ManufacturingCompany, and held a theory-discuss meeting on the trend of research anddevelopment of the manufacturing sector.
