The Company Signed an EPC Contract for the Thermoelectric Unit of Qinghai Damei olefins project

In the morning of June 16, an EPC contract for the thermoelectric unit of Qinghai Damei olefins project was signed between the company, which is represented by general manager Wang Hongguang, and the owner. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of leaders from local authorities, including deputy provincial governor of Qinghai Wang Liming, leaders from relevant departments and committees of Qinghai province and the leaders from the owners and PMC entities.

Located in Qinghai Damei Ganhe Industrial Park, the olefins project produces olefins through the comprehensive use of exhausted gas, consisting of a 600,000 t/a olefins factory (including a 1.8 Mt/a methanol-to-olefins plant, a 100,000 t/a olefins conversion plant, 20,000 t/a MTBE/butene-1 plant, a 300,000 t/a polyethylene plant and a 400,000 t/a polyethylene plant ), utility works, transportation, storage and packing plant, auxiliary production facilities, system works, service facilities and off-site works, with a total investment of around RMB 12.7 billion yuan. The thermoelectric plant, chemical water plant and acid-base station as covered in the EPC contract are part of utility works of the project.

The thermoelectric plant includes 3×240t/hf high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler and 2×25MW pump turbine generator set. It’s designed to operate 8,000 hours per year, including 4,400 hours in summer days and 3,600 in winter days. The operating load ranges from 40% to 110% of rated load. It’s a new plant to be operated in continuous manner. The chemical water plant has a total treatment scale of 600t/h, including the designed treatment scale of condensate water refining unit, which is 300t/h and the design treatment scale of chemical water formulating unit, which is 300t/h. And the designed annual operation time of the plant is 8,000 hours per year. It’s a new plant to be operated in continuous manner. The scale of acid-base station consists of 2×150m3 concentrated sulfuric acid storage tank and 2×3000m3 caustic soda storage tank. The designed annual operation time of the plant is 8,000 hours per year. It’s a new plant to be operated in noncontinuous manner. The intermediate handover of acid-base station and chemical water plant is planned to finish on September 18, 2018 and that of thermoelectric plant on October 18, 2018.
