On May 12^th, an acceptance team that consisted of the involved persons from geological survey contractor, the owner, supervision contractor, EPC contractor and subcontractors and was led by SNEC project management department for PE Plant of Qinghai Damei Coal Industry Co., Ltd. jointly inspected the foundation excavation works in the Vent Gas Recovery Unit in PE Plant of Qinghai Damei Coal Industry Co., Ltd., and the inspection outcome indicated that the foundation excavation works satisfied the design requirements and the works was accepted.

As shown in the geological survey report and design drawings, the subgrade in PE Plant is of natural subgrade, and strong-weathered sandy mudstones in the fifth layer below the natural subgrade are served as the load-bearing layer, therefore, the required bearing capacity of the grade shall be up to 350KPm, and the upper structures shall be of steel construction. As large land relief is seen at the project site, foundation excavation works becomes more difficult, and in the meanwhile, the project layout is of compact design, high requirements are proposed for coordination activities.

SNEC project management department determined and took detailed quality assurance measures, enhanced supervision and control at site, and highly addressed the safety measures for preventing collapse of foundation excavation works during evacuation, ensuring that the foundation excavation works were successfully constructed.
