On April 8^th, Mr. Ling Yiqun, the vice general manager of Sinopec and the chairman of SEG visited Shanghai Machinery Manufacturing Company for research and investigation of SNEC manufacturing operation. Mr. Zhu Jianmin, the deputy director of Sinopec Refinery Department, Mr. Kuang Chengcheng, the deputy director of Sinopec Safety Supervision Bureau and SNEC leaders Mr. Xu Yijun, Kang Wanzhong and Xiao Zhenping also participated in the investigation and research.

When Mr. Ling Yiqun arrived at SNEC, he directly went to the workshop to make investigations on safe manufacturing, workshop equipment, equipment under fabrication and manufacturing capacity. At the subsequent research meeting, Mr. Xiao Zhenping, the vice general manager of SNEC, made a report on behalf of SNEC and gave a description to the general operation of the manufacturing section, reforms, main issues, next highlights, development planning and related recommendations. During the visit, Mr. Ling Yiqun also heard the report made by Mr. Kang Wanzhong, the vice general manager of SNEC, on how to enhance science and technology research.

At the meeting, Mr. Ling Yiqun highly appreciated the efforts made by SNCE manufacturing section in recent years, and he proposed four requirements. Firstly, take the good opportunity for developing refinery and chemical markets, focus on the construction of Sinopec Four Bases, emancipate the minds, and have a common understanding for SNEC development. Secondly, accommodate the new development modes such as modularization and industrialization, properly plan to expand the foreign markets, and improve the manufacturing efficiency and profits. Thirdly, enhance the sense of competitiveness, reform the systems and accelerate integration with the market. Fourthly, put the safety at the first priority to ensure safe production and stable workforce.

Mr. Xu Yijun, the secretary of SNEC Party Committee, expressed that SNEC will follow Sinopec instructions and guidelines, further exercise the Three Step Development Strategy for developing manufacturing section, take effective measures to continue deep reform, enhance innovation, drive structure adjustment and upgrade, improve the core competitiveness and enable SNEC machinery manufacturing companies to be the proprietary equipment manufacturers for SEG, EPC contactors and oversea contractors.
