Shenhua Baotou 30x10⁴t/y PE plant is invested to be built by Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co., Ltd and SINOPEC Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd (SNEC) contracted for building by means of EPC mode and the plant is located in Shenhua Baotou Coal to Olefin plant area.

 

This plant adopt UNIPOL gas phase polymerization process and use polymerization grade ethylene as main feedstock, use butane-1 or hexene-1 as comonomer, use isopentane as inducing condensing agent, they are reacted to create powder resin in fluidized bed reactor under the action of high efficient catalyst. This plant can produce 17 brands of resins with linear low density and high density polyethylene resin materials in total for blow molding, casting and agriculture film resins, etc.

 

On May 5, 2008, EPC contract was awarded and the detail engineering design, plant procurement, construction and site commissioning were undertook by SNEC, the mechanical completion for this project was finished with high level in May of 2010 and the qualified products were produced at initial commissioning in July of 2010. SNEC cooperated with project management team of Owner in sincere way, it lasted 24 months from awarding contract technical appendixes of process package to successful plant commissioning.
