Engineering Design

Engineering Design is one of the most important strategic business of SNEC. Holding an Engineering Design Integrated Qualification Class-A enables us to undertake engineering research, engineering consultation, engineering design, procurement and site services in the field of petrochemical, coal chemical, C1 chemical, synthesis gas chemical, IGCC, storage & transportation, industrial and civil architecture. SNEC has strong engineering capabilities of engineering design, design management and design services. It has 850 engineers in 28 engineering specialities and a number of Chinese well-known experts and academic leaders, including 6 design masters. Senior engineers or engineers with more than 10 years of working experience accounted to more than 50% of its total engineering personnel. Through years of technology reserve and technical development, and through introducing, assimilating and optimizing advanced foreign technologies, SNEC has established its advantageous fields and professions, covering Gasification processes using varied feedstocks (coal, petrol coke, asphalt or residual oil); oil and natural gas processing and application technology; chemical fertilizer, methanol, hydrogen production, AN, acetic acid, ethylene and downstream products (ethylene, polyolefin, etc), acetylene downstream products (vinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, etc), refinery and petrochemical complex and other processes (e.g. gas fractionation, hydrogen production, desulphurization and so on ), IGCC engineering (IGCC plant, CFB boiler power generation), storage and transportation and utility (large-sized storage tanks, cryogenic storage tank, air separation unit). SNEC has accomplished over a thousand of varied engineering design projects, and holds over 310 patents, proprietary technologies and know-hows.
