45x10⁴ t/y PE project of ZRCC is contracted for building by SNEC by means of EPC mode, this project is one of ten chemical plants in 100 x10⁴ t/y ethylene complex for SINOPEC ZRCC Branch, which is a solely-invested project by SINOPEC, its capacity is the biggest one in current newly-built single line production units both at home and abroad and it already reached international advanced level.

 

This plant adopt UNIPOL gas phase patent technology of American Univation Company and use polymerization grade ethylene as main feedstock, use butane-1 or hexene-1 as comonomer, use isopentane as inducing condensing agent, they are reacted to create powder resin in fluidized bed reactor under the action of high efficient catalyst. This plant can produce 14 brands of resins with linear low density and high density polyethylene resin materials in total for blow molding, casting and PE-80 pipeline resins, etc.

 

The project scope include process main units, auxiliary units (incl. PP plant waste water treatment) , utility (incl. PP plant steam condensation recovery) and polyolefin combined control, combined substation, product packaging and warehouse and so on.

 

On July 19, 2006, the process package contract technical appendix was awarded and the detail engineering design, plant procurement, construction and site commissioning were undertook by SNEC, the mechanical completion for this project was finished with high level in December of 2009 and the qualified products were produced at initial commissioning on March 26, 2010, it means that the new plant in world level adopting this technology is putting into operation successfully.

 

In October of 2010, the plant passed the performance test smoothly and each of indexes of material consumption, energy consumption and capacity is beyond the guarantee value of technical contract.
