Cryogenic storage tank yard in ethylene complex, ZRCC contracted by SNEC by means of EPC mode is an auxiliary facility in 100 x 10⁴t/y ethylene complex, ZRCC, which is used for raw material supply to downstream plant and supply & demand buffer among the plants, it can reach stream balance between upstream and downstream plants by means of relying on this storage tank when major plant shutdown for a long time. When production is required, it can buy (receive) from outside or sell to outside (output) ethylene and propylene cryonic products by means of cryonic storage system.

 

The project scope includes 1 set of 30000m³ ethylene cryonic storage tank, 1 set of 20000m³ propylene cryonic storage tank and other accessory facilities.

 

On November 5, 2009, cryogenic storage tank yard in ethylene complex, ZRCC finished intermediate handover with high level and from 4:30 pm of February 4, 2010 to 6:00 am of February, after on Youshan Jetty in Zhenhai, the 3500t ethylene injected into cryogenic storage tank yard in ethylene complex, ZRCC is conveyed via 8km of pipeline. Through one month of running, not any leakage and dew occurred at the ethylene cryogenic storage tank bottom, side wall and pipeline on the way, thus SNEC engineering design, construction & erection quality having withstood the checking of actual running, the client of this project gave a high appraisal to SNEC.
