Recently, the national key R&D project entitled "Research andDemonstration of Large-scale Coal Gasification Safety Control Technology"involving the company was accepted by the National Science and TechnologyMinistry, for which an official project approved has been issued.

The project is oneaccessory to the special program entitled “Technical Equipment for PublicSecurity Risk Prevention and Control” as listed in national Key R&D plan.The project was applied for as led by Sinopec Qingdao Safety Engineering ResearchInstitute, aiming to promote the level of national key technologies in publicsecurity prevention and preparation, monitoring and early warning, situationalanalysis, rescue and disposal and comprehensive guarantee etc through study ofbasic theory, solution of key technical issues and equipment development andapplication demonstration.
