Face-to-Face Discussions Held between Corporate Leaders and New Employees

On August 15th, Mr. Xu Yijun, executive director and party secretary andMr. Wang Hongguang, deputy general manager of the company, met and discussedwith 22 new employees in Room No 212 of the home office building. Directorsfrom Work Dept of the corporate CPC Committee and HR Dept also joined in theface-to-face discussion. Previously, these new employees had already attended atwo-week induction training program arranged for them.

The meeting began with a wrap-up speech on the results, recognition andunderstanding into the 2-week induction training rendered by Zheng Peng onbehalf of the new employees to the company in 2018. His speech covered basicunderstanding into the company as well as its employee growth management,emotional and psychological guidance, safety education and drill and grassrootslevel communication and education etc. Three new employees, including Sun Xiaoyi,Zhang Yuqi, and Pi Liangyao, exchanged what they learnt from the inductiontraining.

Wang Hongguang, deputy general manager of the company, communicated withthe new employees on career development based on his own occupational experience.He expected the new employees to make functional, task-oriented, environmentaland interpersonal transformations timely, make a good start in their careerdevelopment, be open-minded in leaning from others including experiencedworkers and colleagues and be serious and earnest at the start of their work.He encouraged the new employees to promote their sense of responsibility andundertaking, learn to respect to and cooperate with others, face squarely tosetbacks, be bold in reforms and open-minded in communicating with others so asto contribute their shares to the corporate development and become the backboneforce in the corporate technology and management domain.

Mr. Xu Yijun, executive director and secretary of the corporate CPCcommittee, extended on behalf of the corporate exe-com, his warm welcome andcongratulations to the new employees on their new start of life in the company.

During the meeting with new employees, Xu, in the capacity of acolleague and an elder, expressed his expectations as follows: 1. Be a memberof the corporate family and engaged actively in the discussion and advise oncurrent corporate culture solicitation and evaluation. “One Family, One Mind,One Course and One Target” is an enterprise spirit built on the corporatepractice over the years. It has rich implications and encapsulates the wisdomof the people who have been working hard generation after generation. It playedan important role both in providing ideological guidance to employees conductin the course of corporate development. “One Family” emphasizes the strength ofa team. "One Mind" means a high degree of unity in ideology. "OneCourse" means a high degree of unity in action while "One Target"refers to the starting point and ultimate objective of all activities. 2.Remember where you start and be a person with aspiration. Nothingin theworld isdifficult if you set yourmindon it. All new employeesto the company are at the same starting point in their career development. Theymust concentrate on their study and work, observe the corporate rules on safetyand contribute more to the society. 3. Be dedicated and professional. Newemployees shall plan their career development, cultivate their professionalquality and be enterprising and innovative.

In the end, Xu expected new employees to learn to put themselves inothers' shoes at work, properly deal with tensions, be realistic, be courageousfacing with and solving difficulties. According to Xu, the new employees shall notshow off in their life and must be serious in their works. They should promotetheir moral standards and competence in business operations. By establishing understandingand confidence through mutual communication, the new employees shall build anatmosphere for mutual appreciation and collaboration so that they never forgetwhere they starts, be optimistic and work closely promoting the sustainable andhealthy development of the company and making their dreams true.
