Recently, Kang Wanzhong, the deputy general manager of the company, cameto Zhong’an Project for research and held a work meeting with the projectdepartment. The project department members attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Kang Wanzhong fully affirmed the achievements made bythe project department after listening to the annual work report of theproject. He put forward five requirements for the next phase of the project:First, as guided by the spirit of the 19th Communist Party of China NationalCongress and based on the actual situation of the project, we will summarizethe technical and managerial innovation in the project and form new technicaland managerial principles. Secondly, we must clearly understand that theworkload for the next phase of the project is still large, and the constructionand coordination shall be further refined. The gasification unit shall focus onsafety management and control of people flow, logistics, and cross-operations,target nodes shall be defined for the coal storage and transportationfacilities to ensure that the overall schedule of the project is unshakeable.Thirdly, sufficient safety control measures shall be taken during the peak ofthe project construction and make good use of the existing monitoring,incentive and penalty systems, the leadership responsibility system shalleffectively exercise, prevention measures shall be taken in advance, riskidentification and control shall be made. Fourthly, we must highlight andpromote the project party building, implement “one post with tworesponsibilities” (both the party and project management post shall be assignedto one person), strengthen anti-corruption education, and study the documentsissued by the company. Fifthly, young talent training shall be highlighted, theexperienced persons shall help the freshmen to promote the projectconstruction.

Before the meeting, Kang Wanzhong fully understood the constructionconditions at the site, made detailed exchanges with the constructioncontractors. He also enquired the manpower return after Spring Festival, thekey works in this year, the difficulties in project construction, and safetyprecautions taken for cross-operations and work at night. He required everyoneto work hard for the project.
