ThePOX Project of Zhenhai Refinery, a project for modifying the structure ofhydrogen production raw material, has saw a new milestone node beingaccomplished during September 19~21, with the project’s key equipment, three 3m(diameter) over 21m (length) 180t (weight) gasifiers, being successfully liftedinto place, which means the installation of the large gasification equipmentfor the project is finally completed.

As a crucial part of POX Project, theinstallation of the three gasifiers is the most important and yet mostdifficult among all installation work of the project. The gasifiers had to belifted up by nearly 60 meters in height by a 1,250t main crane, then“transferred” to the top floor of a 56m high gasification structure, then moveddown from the ninth to sixth floor before it was finally located at the sixthfloor (32.5m in height) of the gasification structure.
