The Company Signed the Technical Agreement for the Coal Gasification Sewage Treatment, Optimization and Modification Project of Datang Hexigten

Recently, the company signed the technical agreement of technical scheme for the sewage treatment, optimization and modification project, one of important part of Datang Hexigten technical modification project, after months of hard word, signifying the official kick-off of the project.

The company was awarded the contract for the engineering design and field service of Zhongxin Energy & Chemical project, including the four factories affiliated to Zhongxin, such as Kexigten Coal Gasification, Dorun Coal Chemical, Hulun Buir Fertilizer and Fuxin Coal Gasification. The work content of the contract includes engineering consultancy, engineering design, technical service and as-built drawing preparation, etc. The design service includes attending meetings and technical negotiation, and preparing technical documents and procurement documents, etc.

The Kexigten Coal Gasification Project used to adopt Lurgi Gasifier process and its sewage treatment system has not produced bio-chemical effluent that meets with designed standard since it was put into operation, which leads to subsequent zero-emission process failing to meet treatment requirements, and this problem has become a bottleneck affecting the normal operation of the factory. Sewage treatment has been a bottleneck problem in Lurgi Gasifier process, there is no better and more effective treatment method neither in China or foreign countries, and it’s very difficult to modify the process.

Since it got involved into the Kexigten technical modification project last year, the company conducted a deep site investigation and consulted lots of materials, and discussed problems over and over again with the technical department of the factory to determine the targets to be modified and the modification scheme. After two months of technical communication, the company finally entered into the technical agreement for process and technology modification with the factory, which lays down a solid basis for the successful implementation of subsequent engineering design.
