The ceremony for signing the EPC Contract for Zhong’an Lianhe Coal Transmission and Storage Project as well as the kick-off meeting for detailed design were held at room 212 of head office building on July 13. The contracted was signed by Zhou Yueming, the director of management center of Nanjing project and the manager of the project management department of Zhong’an Lianhe, and Kang Wanzhong, the vice general manager of the company. Other attendants of the meetings include the relevant responsible persons of the the project management department of Zhong’an Lianhe and the related departments of the company.

Zhou Yueming highly recognized the key plants (e.g. coal gasification plant) of the project and expressed sincere gratitude to the staff of project department of the company. Zhou also said that, due to the tight construction period, heave work load and big difficulties in construction, he hopes the company can work out a perfect design optimization plan as usual, strengthen management and control over safety quality, create new highlights and make new breakthroughs so as to delivery good results to the leading party group of Sinopec Group.

The kick-off meeting for detailed design was held immediately after the signing ceremony, during which project manager made an introduction of the main work content and quantity in preliminary period, the key work of current stage and the work plan for the next stage. The meeting attendants carried out a discussion on detailed issues in three groups respectively representing process & equipment, electrics & instrument and plan & contract.

It’s reported that Zhong’an Lianhe Coal Transmission and Storage Project is the utility works supporting the coal-to-methanol and olefin conversion projects of Zhong’an Lianhe. It mainly serves to provide feed coal and fuel coal of acceptable size to coal gasification plant and power center. It consists of off-site coal conveying system, on-site coal storage and transmission facilities and control system integration, etc.
