On April 13^th, the Operator Training System (OTS) for Sinopec-ECUST (SE) Gasifier jointly developed by Ningbo Technology Research Institute, SUPCON and SimTech was assessed and accepted by the specialists organized by Sinopec Chemical Department. Mr. Tan Huaishan, the vice general manager of Sinopec Great Wall Energy and Chemical (Guizhou) Company, was assigned as the leader of the specialist team.

The Operator Training System (OTS) for Sinopec-ECUST (SE) Gasifier was developed by using Dynsim simulation software, virtual controller software and DCS-OTS interface software to create process models for Sinopec-ECUST (SE) gasifiers. The data and information obtained from the pilot plants were used to configure DCS and SIS systems and create simulation models for 12 systems, including coal quality calculation, reaction in gasifier and pulverized coal conveying. This OTS is served to dynamically simulate the full process flow and control logics, designed with on-line control, configuration and change functions, and provided with failure simulation and operator assessment systems for a full range of operator training.
