On October 12th, the “Double Ninth” Festival Gala jointly organized by SNEC Labor Union, retired management department and construction community was held at lighted stadium in the living area. SNEC leaders Wang Jianlin and Zhou Renqing attended the gala and the director of grass-roots work committee attached to Ningbo Municipal Federation of Labor Union Sun Tongfa was present. More than a thousand of retired employees and their families had a joyous gathering here to express their respect and love to the elder and wish them happy and healthy every day.

At 6:45 that evening, with the music rang for the opening dance Beautiful Life performed by the Ningbo Employees Art Troupe, the curtain of the gala was officially opened. In the next two hours of the show, Hongfeng Sports Association of the retired management department performed their self-produced and directed shows There is a Beautiful Place, Chao Yang Village (Selection), Jiangnan and Jiangbei Are Our Home, Cheongsam Show, Happy Elder, Happy Pretty Ladies, Homebound, Country, Red Sorghum---Jiuer and other programs, which demonstrated the old comrades’ spirits of teaching, learning, acting and enjoying life. Ningbo Employees Art Troupe and SNEC League Committee, through acrobatics, conjuring and solo, extended regards and blessings to the elder. The well linked, coherent and vivid performances won warm applause of the audience. At last, leaders of Ningbo Municipal Federation of Labor Union and SNEC went on stage to sing Ode to the Motherland together with the audience, which brought the gala to a climax.

In recent years, SNEC retired management department has been actively seeking innovation in retirement management, vigorously implementing the elder cultural construction, actively guiding the retired staff to transform from “material endowment” to “spiritual endowment” for the full implementation of the "six guarantees for the elder and promotion of harmonious construction” vision, and striving to practice Sinopec’s idea of “the elder’s happiness is our responsibility”.
